When the Holiday Season takes over…

Gee, it’s been a long time since my last post!  I guess the Holiday Season has taken over my life.  I hope everyone is finding the time to get stuff done and enjoy the season at the same time.  I, unfortunately, am still working at striking that balance.  I wrote a post about it on the Polka Dot Plum a few weeks back, and included some great resources.  You can check it out HERE.  There are a few great sites there that talk about how to manage all the “have tos” of the holidays so that you can still enjoy your family and your life.

Lately, I have tried to really enjoy this time with my family.  It is an interesting time, seeing that my youngest daughter is just starting to “get” Christmas.  I had forgotten how new it can be to someone so young, however I am quickly reminded seeing that she spends most of her days thinking about Christmas at mach-10 speed.  I am also enjoying watching their personalities form, and how they come out in their likes and dislikes.  My older DD is a princess.  She wants everything princess, she likes happy Christmas specials, and most recently cried during Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas.  My younger DD, however is a bit different.  Don’t get me wrong, she’ll play dress up anytime, and most days insists on wearing a dress.  She has asked for a motorized dinosaur for Christmas, though.  She is also becoming quickly obsessed with “Mr. Grinch.”  My DW and I are really enjoying the time to watch them grow and change, all within the spirit of the season.  We are so very blessed.

Although it’s been a few weeks, I have some great new products coming out this upcoming week.  Unfortunately, my mojo had been on vacation for the last few weeks…however, the good news is that it’s back and it’s raring to go.  You can look forward to a brand new alpha and a brand new kit, with all the trimmings, next week.  Also, I am putting the finishing touches on a brand new Sir Scrapalot Designs newsletter.  It will be the first in a very long time, so expect it to be full of goodness and fun.  I can tell you that there will be a discount and freebies that are EXCLUSIVE to newsletter readers only.  If you aren’t signed up for the newsletter, by gosh, do it NOW!!

Look for the newsletter sometime later this weekend.  Also, keep an eye here for updates, sneak peeks, and exclusive freebies and promotions to last the entire holiday season.  My “The Sunday Post” columns are available on the Polka Dot Plum blog every Sunday, so you can catch me there too.

Until next time,
